If our wedding reception serves the food in silver platters, then what centerpieces work well with that?
02 Feb 2009
We are getting married!
Our wedding reception is at Victoria Banquet in Rosemont, ILL.
So, they bring out the food in silver platters.
Which I love the idea.
But I have no idea what centerpieces to get.
HELPPP!
Maybe this is silly, but, will the centerpieces get in the way of the platters?
Oh and what about the table itself? what works well? Or do I use my wedding colors? i'm such a mess with this…
white candles with silver gliter in them and white flowers in a silver vase oh and lightly paint the flowers with silver sparkley paint

2009 Feb 02 1Candles would reflect the silver nicely. A lot of people do floating candles in either tall glass vases or shorter bowls. Flowers are always an option. You can use almost anything for a centerpiece. Framed photos of the two of you. Anything that reflects your personalities: board games, sports memoribilia, movie memoribilia, etc.
Check out The Knot (www.theknot.com) or Google “wedding centerpiece” for more ideas!
Good luck!

2009 Feb 02 2anything will work, flowers, candles, just put a mirror underneath or a little silver ribbon to help it all flow.
I personally would think about using white as a main color, with accents of your bridal colors.
