Bridesmaid Gifts at The Knot Wedding Shop

YOU GUYS ARE GREAT WITH GIVING ME IDEAS!!! I JUST NEED A LITTLE MORE… we are having a private ceremony and later having a reception/after party but i want it to be set up like a real wedding reception. we are going to use a big hall and the colors are pink, red, and white. we are using a colonades with columns for decorations and i need more ideas for centerpieces…. we were thinking about keeping it simple and nice… such as a vase on each table with nice red , pink, and white roses in it and MAYBE with some pretty colorful gemstones at the bottom of the vase… we are also thinking about decorating each table with rose petals of all colors…

PLS GIVE ME SOME MORE IDEAS FOR OTHER DECORATIONS… we are doing like balloons, the receptionist table, the gifts table, just want something special for the parents table…

P.S. AND WHAT IS BEST TO USE PLASTIC TABLE COVERS/ OR TABLECLOTHS AS IN FABRIC? IM NOT SURE

thanks

I would go with cloth, not table plastic tablecloths. Looks classier. What about little candles with your rose petals? I saw someone use mirrors as a base, and they put tealight candles and rose petals on with a vase in the middle. It looked really classy, even though it was pretty simplistic. You could use red and/or pink rose petals, white candles, and a vase with the gemstones like you thought of and some flowers. The light from the candles would reflect off the gemstones.

Hope this helps! Congratulations!

Very romantic color scheme!! I would get black and white pictures of the two of you and have the colors red and pink only pop out of them. You can always use red, pink, and white jelly beans, or even candy hearts (valentines day candy) to fill the vases that you put the roses in! Something special for the parents table is to get old pictures of there wedding day or just together, and make it balck and white! I would go with (fabric) table cloths! If your budget allows you, and I would have a table runner that was pink, or red, running thru the middle! Or criss crossing each other! Use of candles or floating candles is always a nice touch if allowed by the hall! I hope this helps, Good luck and happy planning!!!

I prefer fabric table linens, although there's nothing wrong with plastic.

I'm picturing a large round table with a long white tablecloth. On top of that, put a small square tablecloth over the top so the corners drape down the sides. On top of that, put a large white linen napkin, corners offset from those on the square tabletop. On the napkin, put three pedestal candles of varying height and width, and then scatter those rose petals around the candles. If you like, you can swap the colors so there's more color than white, too.

    What do you think?

regular tablecloths you don't want to lessen the look of the room by using plastic. You might also want to give your guest colored with your colors a nice chocolate rose. You can leave them on the tables for the women.

I'm always up for fabric table cloths but if your budget doesn't allow them you can always look into to Better Than Linen table cloths. They are much better looking than plastic and are disposable. You can also add color to the table by adding a runner. You can easily do this by using gossamer fabric. (see link below)

    Good Luck with your planning!

For table clothes you could use paper…they have the deeper texture of cloth but are cheaper and if something is spilled easy to discard… as for a centerpiece you could use empty wine bottles ( weight down with sand ) and wine bottle candelabras they hold candles up off the tables and you could surround them with flowers and glitter… also the Candelabras are relatively cheap but gives off that romantic look
