I’m having a Twilight-themed wedding. I’m going for a really sophisticated, subtle feel. Anyway, I bought all of the Twilight cars, minus Jacob’s since I couldn’t find it, (models 1/18 size) to be used as the centerpieces on the tables. I just want them to be dressed up with flowers or something else. Any ideas? Should they be platformed? How should they be presented?

The groom is a Jacob not an Edward! :) The cars are approx. 10 inches long, 4.5 inches wide.

I’m not goth; though, I do invite any goth-inspired ideas.

In 10 years, everyone is going to think his or her wedding was cheesy no matter what is done. In 10 years, I’ll just look back at how happy I was and laugh.

I’ve never been happier planning this wedding. Thanks for the positive comments!

I’m not really sure what you mean? You got like small micromachine cars? are they 1/18" in size or like 1/18 the size of a real car.

maybe put them on a mirror disk with flowers or pretty pebbles around and flowers in the windows?

ps. wtf is up with the girl thats saying my darling darling and shit like that? ugh. weird

Why not try something like… placing the car on a mirrored circle, then sprinkling dark red rose petals around it, or using baby’s breath.
or place it on the mirror circle and put tea light candles all around it

…you’re having a Twilight themed wedding?

Well, each to it’s own I say. But you should send an e-mail to Stephenie Meyer or her brother Seth with some photos afterwards, who knows you might be featured on her website. She does like to support her fans and their actions in promoting/supporting twilight.

Sorry I don’t have an answer for the centerpieces, I just thought you might want to know about the e-mail/website thing :)

Maybe put them on round mirrors and include some low flower arrangements around them.

Brace yourself for comments addressing the fact that "sophisticated" and "subtle" don’t really go with a Twilight-themed wedding….

my sweet sweet darling. i hate to break this to you, but in 10 year’s time, you are going to kick yourself. twilight is going to be cheesy, all your ‘twilight’ wedding photos are going to be cheesy. your friends are going to cringe at what they were wearing, and you are going to wish to death you did things differently.
please my honey, i got married a few months ago, and i kept it as generic as possible. and i still wish i had not done this or that fashionable thing.
remember, what is fashionable today, is tacky and gross tomorrow.
just look at the wedding dresses of the 80’s. soooo grosss today.

dont stress though. you can still pull off the theme. just try not to do like weird vampire-ey makeup or stuff. dont go to emo. emo hair is going to look stupid in a few years time. trust me on that. you dont want your hubby to look like a douche on your wedding photo forever?

keep it classical. keep the twilight theme low-key. like a dream. maybe have big prints of them staring in each other’s eyes as backdrops, in black and white, so even in 20 year’s time, even if you dont know who that is, it will still look romantic and special.
you can even work apples into your decor (as on the cover of the first book). and leaves off forest trees. have glitter in your hair on and on the tables. have the guys use some glitter gel in their hair. not too much though. have your righbeared bring your rings in a cut open apple.
serve red wine or cranberry juice as ‘blood’.
have your makeup a pale palette, wit juicy stained red lips, so it looks vampirish, but not look you are dying, or you are too goth. that’s just tasteless.
on one of the books, there is a lily or something with red in it, use maybe lilies or some white flower with red in it for decor.
you can also have glitter as your confetti. then everybody will sparkle.

the centrepiece for the cake? a small glass or wire silver tree with two red apples on it?
