   what about getting some small bowls and putting a goldfish in each of them for a centrepiece - its different and you can put seashells in the bottom of each bowl!

   You could fill vases with seashells.
   Or just have candles with seashells around the base of them.
   I think simple and classy looks great- so why not just put some tealights or candles on the table (you could have floating tealights to keep in with the water theme.

   what about the lil round fish bowls…most of us had them as kids. You can find them at your local craft store or Dollar Store. Add a few drops of blue food coloring to the water & drop seashells. in the bottom seashells…..which can also be bought at the craft store & $1 store…and whala!!!
   You can also scatter a few seashells on the table around the fish bowls as well as around the cake table…

   Place a mirrored tile in the center with a decorative bowl of water, in your case, add a drop of blue food coloring to the water and then I would use candles with a nautical theme. The candles reflect off the bowl and mirror and are gorgeous! You can also put sand on the mirror to accent your theme. It's very inexpensive!

   Here's an idea … use a "fishbowl" vase:

   fill the bottom with white sea shells, fill with water, maybe use blue food coloring to turn the water your royal blue, and float a white candle at the top.

   If you don't like the blue water, maybe get some royal/cobalt blue vase gems

   I've seen some gorgeous centerpieces where they put blue, green, aqua, and clear glass pieces until a glass cylinder vase is half full then add different decorations (like a long stemmed flower).

   Another idea is to take glass globes (not the ones that house fish), and fill the bottom with the same glass pieces. Add water and star fish or floating candles.

   Dont do goldfish. Most people that bring them home will not take care of them. Animals should not be "centerpieces".

   How about a small glass fishbowl filled with shells? It's simple and less is more.

    I went to michaels and bought the following:
    glass candle trivets, tan decorator sand, glass votives, tea lights, starfish, shells and sand dollars.
    One bag of decorator sand covers the bottom of two trivets.
    I'm having the giant starfish on the sand covered trivet (to keep the mess down) with the sand dollars and shells on the table. Also on the table: tea lights + some of my flower petals spread on the table. I think each table was under $15.
    You could use blue decorator sand to stay with your color theme or find other ways to incorporate blue and use shells instead of the variety I'm using.
