I was going to do a glass cylinder with black river stones, fill them with water and then put white live flowers, and put a hot pink ribbon at the bottom. Any other ideas? websites or anything. I already went to theknot.com. I am trying to do things different, and unique. any suggestions?

Try www.offbeatbride.com.

They have a lot of great ideas, floral, nonfloral.

I personally do not have any ideas of my own (as I am not married and have not begun planning my own wedding).

Hope that helps.

You could also do the same thing but put a candle in the vase instead of water/flowers.

Put some branches in the vase (could paint them black if you wanted) and then add small strings of beads/crystals in hot pink color. Or, add small pink flowers to make them look like cherry blossoms.

As for websites, check out offbeatbride.com

—just thought of something else. You could put a floralite (spelling?) in the bottom of the vase and then fill with xmas ornaments in pink. Maybe even add some white and/or silver ornaments to break up the color.

you could use the oil fusion sets, you know the clear cylinders, that have sticks that set inside, they come in all sizes, you could add rocks if you'd like and tie ribbons as well, it would add an extra fragrance to the room.

you can put an LED base at the bottom so that the colors shin up thru the water/ most of them rotate between colors too, or you can set it to just one.

I am doing the traditional flowers in a vase but with a twist. I bought small flowers from hobby lobby. I will cut the flowers off the stem. In the vases im putting jello and then pushing the flowers in so they are suspended and look like they are floating. then im tying ribbon in my wedding colors around the middle of the vase. I tried it and it look -pretty cool. you can do colored jello to match your colors. im using clear and light purple flowers

instead of water for the flowers how about branches with white twinkling lights wrapped around them and the flowers in small water holders so the guests can take them home.
