Bridesmaid Gifts at The Knot Wedding Shop

no special occassion, i am just looking for ideas for a daily centerpiece. i am not big into florals but i'm not against them either…our table is dark wood and my decorating style leans towards modern if i had to classify it.
any ideas, websites, pics would be great:)
thanks!

Since you like modern, you could go with a glass bowl, (clear or colored) and put lemons, limes, apples-green, red, or mixed,, artichokes, (whatever is on sale-now is an expensive time to buy fruit i know).

How about a long straight glass vase filled with either lemons or limes. I think this would look really cool, give a great flash of colour and would last a lot longer than flowers do.

I have a rectangle shaped glass dish in an amber color that sits in a wrought iron stand…and I have glass pebbles in it with three candles. I'm not crazy about florals either due to my allergies…and I love my candle display. You can change the color of the candles according to season so it's very versitile.

metallic is in these days. You might think about a metallic color metal star in copper or gold to set off the dark wood.Usually they're on walls or whatnot but I have seen them in magazines as a table centerpiece either all by themselves or with a bit of greenery tucked in beneath them. Very simple, elegant, and versatile! The website below has a ton of colors including metallics.

I have different ones for different times obviously, but some examples are,
a glass bowl filled with lemons and limes, (It looks rather cool, gives a lovely smell, lasts ages (you can put it in the fridge at night) and is quick easy and cost effective.

For a special occasion, I usually make a more edible centre piece. for example, A big glass bowl of multi coloured candy! (I did this for a dinner party and it went down a treat!).
More grown up ideas include stones and sea shells, with candles and tea lights.

For easter I have lots of little chocolate eggs and bunnies, wrapped in different coloured foils. I plan on scattering them on the table before dinner!

Mirrored centerpiece with a big thick candle. (Or you could go with 3 smaller candles on top of the mirror.) Go to Ebay and take a look. Target also has some awesome center pieces for modern looks.
