Anybody have any centerpiece ideas using fruit?
02 Mar 2009
Does anyone know anywhere I can get pictures of table centerpieces with fruit used as decor?
Depends a bit on the time of year as to what fruit is in season and whether you have specific colours in mind but have a look at fruitstoremember.com or simply stick fruit centerpieces into google and select images. That'll give you the most pictures.
My local florist mixes fruit with flowers. For example filling vases with green grapes or green apples and white lilies/roses/chrysanthemums or using lemons with yellow/green/red flowers. For smaller arrangements I've seen him use strawberries and blueberries in small rings with pots of miniature white roses. He also uses cranberries when available in the same way that you can use small pebbles in vases.

2009 Mar 02 5if you get a tall centerpiece that's glass, you can have the the center of the stand filled with whatever fruits you like (lemons, limes, oranges, etc). Then you can do a matching floral arrangement on the top, while mixing some fruit elements into the flowers, possibly adding some leaves / stems from the fruit trees. This would look really nice with some votives or tea lights at the bast of the arrangement.
