Bridesmaid Gifts at The Knot Wedding Shop

It will be in the afternoon, outside, under a tent, early June. We are looking at 20 to 30 tables so we will need a lot of centerpieces, but we don't have a lot of money to spend on them. I'm definitely interested in any DIY ideas. No candles or scattered flower petals since it's outside. The primary color is blue. Thanks!

make fruit flower centerpeices… June has lots of good berries and fuit avaible .. hit up a local famers market… grab a few brilliant friends a few small knives and lots of imagination… they look great and they are a good to hold the guest over untill you feed them … we did this the day before the wedding as a relax and have fun thing… we put them on every other table… and then we put cheese on other tables ..
it turned out well everyone mingled eating from other tabels and talking…

What about a vase of wildflowers, or something like forget my nots. You could fill the vases with blue stones or those glass beads and put the flowers in there with them. It'd be nice….
Does your wedding have a theme? Or just going with a blue theme. Like is it picnic style, like a tea party type of reception… More details would help me help you.

You could take a couple blue hydrangeas and put them in a vase and dye the water blue. Or you could have a fish bowl with blue marbles in the bottom and a blue betta fish swimming inside.

This is a little hard to imagine but… Take 3 square top vases in 3 different heights : put a handful of river rock in bottom of each one

In the tallest one put in a few branches from the curly willow

In the next tallest one put a floating candle ( filled only 2/3 full so wind won't put candle out) : http://www.weddingaccessories.net/images/candles/3903FC-floating-unity-candle.jpg
In the shortest one put Blue Hydrangea : http://www.mcsilkplants.com/LARGER-PICTURES-FOR-NEW-WEB-SIDE/modern/HydrangeaViburnumTextureVase.jpg

put all of these on each table surrounded with a chunk of moss and river rock. It looks very spa like. You can rent the vases from most florists for pretty cheap. The rocks in the vases give them weight if it's a windy place. Get larger "spa" rocks and use them as the place cards. With paint pen write their names on them . On the flip side either write the table number or name your tables with spa names like…. peace, tranquility, harmony, etc. On the tables themselves use either a piece of slate or a large rock and have the table name or number on it. I did this for a recent wedding and it was gorgeous. I just haven't gotten the photos back from the photographer yet.

    best wishes………………

Outside under a tent = potted flowers look great!

If you're going for a rustic look, mason jars with gerbera daisies.

If modern, try wheatgrass in square or rectangle galvanized pots. You can grow this yourself and save a lot of $$.

I am using lemons in a hurricane vase with flowers aound the base or the top (varies by table). My colors are black white and yellow so lemons worked great but you can find fruit in pretty much any color and it is super cheap! I live in very hot and humid Houston so I loved this idea too because nothing can wilt in the heat!

also a lady on http://www.offbeatbride.com has a whole posting on these fabulous centerpeices she made of branches.

Since your color is blue you can also use these and just use different shades of blue:

the last 2 are similar to what I am doing. Only I am using taller hurricane vases and less greenery and some tables will have whole lemons not cut slices. This can be done with limes, apples, plums, oranges. Especially if you use whole fruit! Good luck!
