1st communion party centerpiece?
19 Mar 2009
I am having a party for my son's 1st holy communion and can't decide on a centerpiece or party favors. I want either the centerpiece or the favors to be religious…. any ideas. I found this vase with the link below and was thinking of making it a fruit edible arrangement…. please help with any cool suggestions… I am willing to spend up to like 40-45 dollars on the center piece. Thanks!

I think that is a beautiful vase, not sure about the fruit idea, I would hate to nibble on my hostess's decorations. I just tend to like fresh flowers and plants. Just wondering if this party was a sit down dinner or buffet style. An idea for a tablescape arrangment might be to get some small starters of prayer plants, repot in pots you have painted or bought to go with your colors, frame up some small photos of your son growing up (gives the guests something to talk about) throw in some candles, and or angel figurines, If you need some color, add a table runner, or buy a few yards of fabric or ribbon. Since this is a party, I might add a few balloons either in a corner or two with weights or have them float to the ceiling with pretty streamers hanging down. Your favors could be a book mark you made with a verse of some kind and a picture of your son, or maybe even an ornament of an angel they could keep for Christmas. Good luck!
