Looking for instructions…maybe a website. Just bought feathers and vases and want to ensure that they are done correctly. Help…
I heard of foam inserts – are they necessary? How do you ensure that the centerpieces do not tip over?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

the eifel tower vases that i have seen have a very skinny opening so you don't really need the foam stuff unless you are only gonna do 2-3, the thickness of several stems of feathers and stems will support it….if you are worried about them tipping, fill the bottom with clear marbles or marbles in your colors to give them extra weight and help prevent that! I worked for a florist for 2 yrs and we used those type vases fairly often and this is how we handled them! hope this helps!

Putting Oasis foam in the bottom not only will keep the flowers arranged but also keeps them hydrated when soaked in water. Also a frog is a spikey insert that goes in the bottom of a vase to keep steam in position.

If you arrange your flowers in a evenly you wont risk tipping over. I suggest start with the flowers and arrange them starting in the center of the arrangment, work your way around in a cericle to insure they are even from all sides. Whn you have completed arranging all the flowers insert the feathers at areas that look spares but dont bulk them together, again going in a circle around the arrangement will keep things even.

My sister in law used those flat marbles (you can find them at most craft stores or even pet stores). They were in her color and they anchored the centerpieces nicely.

I would use glass rocks from a craft store, or Walmart for .98 cents a bag. They come in lots of colors and are more asthetically pleasing than the foam.
