I’m getting married this November in Boston, MA. My wedding colors are white and blue, what kind of flowers should I get that are affordable and would look great in white and blue for centerpieces and hand bouquet? Thanks so much for your help!
As you're from the MA area, hydrangeas; roses & tulips are usually available during this time of the year. Hydrangeas are easy to work with and very inexpensive (yet very elegant) They're easily available from your area (much more expensive in the West coast cause they're shipped from your zone). Very simple & elegant. Tulips are also good, and roses are also available year round. Also consider white lilacs too.
Consider for fillers and nice touch:
snowberries
seeded eucalyptus
Just a few ideas. Consider getting just a few items. You'll actually shave costs and using alot of it. The more choices in flowers you want to incorporate in arrangements, the more cost is involved.
(A recent wedding that I did was in Pasadena CA. Very simple: White Roses; pale cymbidium orchids; hydrangeas; lots of dendrobium orchids with scented geranium as the grenery (for the bouquet & boutonnieres only). Very simple & elegant, nice contrast to the wedding colors. Their wedding colors were Purple and moss green)

2009 Feb 10 1This is all I could find. If you read all the way through it at the bottom is says the affordable flowers in season for fall/winter. Good luck! I hope this helps a little.
