Using Floral Foam, Do I need to add water to the vase, or is there enough water from what it soaks up?

They will be used as centerpieces and the flowers need to last for about 8 hours.
you can add water in the vase..its not going to hurt it..and it will keep the floral foam from drying out…everytime i have gotten flowers with floral foam its been in water…

2009 Feb 16 1Yes, you will need to add water but the kind of flowers will make a difference. I would never leave a centerpiece that long without checking it.

2009 Feb 16 6The foam absorbs a lot of water itself, but 8 hours ought to be okay for what the foam absorbs.

2009 Feb 16 7You need to soak the floral foam until it is saturated before you use it. Then put it in the container, then arrange the flowers, then top up if necessary.
