since i don't have access to florist supplies i am putting my own spin on making them

i am
using 5" styrofoam balls. put 1 on top of the vase and with a marker- mark the area just outside of the top of the vase
should be a square if yours are like mine
with a sharp knife- carve out the square- make it about 2 inches deep
stick it on the vase to make sure it's the right size and won't wobble
cover it with spanish moss or other green moss (use floral picks found in craft stores to secure it)
put it back on top of the vase and start placing your flowers
if you are using silks they will stick and stay
if you are using fresh you might want to put wire up the stem or wrap the stem with wire to give support to the flowers

this is mainly the look i'm going for for ours just not using as many flowers. i am also using silks, gerbers, tulips, roses and fillers. spanish moss and ivy too
