Where To Start With Wedding Planning
12 Jul 2010
Wedding planning can be one of the single most stressful jobs you ever take on. If you find your time is stretched you and you fiancé might decide to employ the services of a wedding planner. Some details of your wedding are going to be more important to you than others. The guest list, the dress and the venue are going to be more important to most brides than the design on the table cloth or the colour of the flowers. There’s a good chance you’ve had your wedding dress picked out since before you even met your fiancé. Despite your initial wishes there’s also going to be a good chance the guest list will be pretty set too. It’s the wedding venues however that can require the most amount of planning.
When choosing your venue you’ll need to know whether you want the wedding in a separate venue to the reception. You may decide to opt for a traditional church wedding and move onto the reception venue after. At the same time both yourselves and your guests might find having the whole day in one location more convenient. Country houses, grand hotels and wedding castles are becoming increasingly popular choices for wedding venues. These types of venues have become so proficient at offering this service they’ll normally offer everything from a complete planning service or simply allow you to hire the space and get on with your own plans. Space is another commodity most country wedding venues are able to offer. If you’re going to opt for a rural location you’ll have to consider how your guests are not only going to get there but also they might need accommodation too. Larger venues are more likely to offer these services as standard.
The wedding day is often described as the most important day of your life. You’re going to put copious amounts of planning into it so of course you’re going to want it to be perfect. You can’t plan for everything but hopefully if something does go wrong it won’t be anything too big. Having your entire wedding day at one venue can make it less stressful as you can normally deal with one or two people rather than several different vendors.
