It is better to be safe than spend more on replacing the tungsten ring.

2.    Do not buy rings made up of nickel. Rings made up of nickel easily dent and get scratched. There are some nickel rings that can be bent in half. Make sure to avoid rings made up of nickel.

3.    Tungsten rings with cobalt should be avoided. Manufacturers sometimes add cobalt to the rings. Cobalt and body oil are not compatible. A bad reaction will result from mixing the two. This reaction will irritate your skin. You may be able to experience rashes from wearing tungsten rings with cobalt.

4.    Be sure to know the difference of ordinary tungsten and tungsten carbide. Make sure you know how to distinguish one from the other. Rings made from ordinary tungsten are much weaker than those made from tungsten carbide.

5.    Be sure you buy tungsten rings because you want to. Sweet talk should not be the reason for buying one.
