When asked what comes to mind first when she thinks about weddings most women will reply that the wedding dress is first thing she thinks of!” That’s because weddings are associated so much with the dress for women that it is their first thought. Sure, there are many other details that brides begin to think about later on down the line, like their bridesmaids jewelry, but these are secondary to the dress. But, when it comes to the type of dress to buy many women are split. Some prefer a tailor made couture gown while others are happy to settle for a readymade gown on their big day. Either choice is not necessariry the right or wrong dress but each has advantages that should be thought through before a bride to be begins shopping.
First of all, a couture gown is beautiful because it is made perfectly for your body. There is no denying that a readymade dress will not fit you as perfectly as a custom made gown. However a few changes can make the off the rack gowns nearly a perfect fit. Of course tailor made gowns give the bride a chance to exercise her creativity in a lot of small details to make the dress have a very special look. This doesn’t make them better than readymade gowns, it just makes them different.
Readymade gowns are great because they are really affordable. Because they are meant to be purchased by many people the designs are usually very good and they represent the best of the latest fashions. You will know the dress you wear is gorgeous and in style. Nearly all standard made dresses are easily modified so it is easy to get a great fit.
If you are unsure of which route to take, then maybe you should invite your bridesmaids to go shopping for bridesmaids jewelry and ask their opinions. When you are visiting bridal shops that is a good time to ask your bridesmaids to try on different dresses and find out what they think. Remember that is is you who will be wearing the gown so your ideas have to be the most important in making the final decision. You are the bride and what you say goes, even as far as the bridesmaids jewelry is concerned. Don’t forget that you want everyone to feel special in their helping you so listen carefully to their suggestions and opinions.
When you determine your budget for a dress then you may find your answer as to whether you will buy a readymade or tailor made dress. But, don’t forget that your wedding day only happens once, hopefully anyway, and you should have your dream dress. And, if you buy an expensive dress at the bridal boutique the will likely give you a discount on the bridesmaids jewelry as a result!
