Notwithstanding, there are lots of pitfalls that you need to take into account if you want to get married outdoors. Many things can happen differently to your plan, so toy need to be as prepared as possible.

1) Although you will have a lot of things to think about, do not forget that the ceremony is also going to be for the benefit of your guests, and that they should not be uncomfortable during the outside ceremony. Make sure that plenty of seating is available, and that they won’t be subject to weather extremes such as a very hot sun, or a lot of wind.

2) Have plenty of drinks available close to where everyone will be congregating to avoid discomfort and dehydration. Cold water is paramount, and hot drinks will be much appreciated in chilly weather. And of course, fruity drinks for the young ones and some bottles of champagne or sparkling wine for the adults are always welcome. 2) There should be plenty to drink near the outside wedding ceremony area, both water to make sure that everyone stays hydrated, and more interesting drinks to keep the party going. If the wedding is in winter, hot drinks would be of order too.

3) Decoration is key to every successful wedding. While outdoor locations will need less refurbishment than indoor ones, you should still provide plenty of flowers, and a nice backdrop to the wedding ceremony. If you are getting wed in a garden, make sure beforehand that the lawn has been cut and the plants tended to! 3) Getting wed outside means that thanks to the natural beauty of the surroundings, you will probably not have to decorate much, but some added pizzazz is always welcome. Extra flower bouquets are a good idea, and something to act a sda backdrop to the ceremony also helps to draw focus.

4) Make sure that the acoustics of the place are good, that there will be on background noises. You don’t want your outdoor marriage spoiled by some extraneous sound! If you have a lit of invitees, have a sound system set up so that everyone can hear the vows.

5) Think insects. If the season is conductive to flying and stinging bugs, put out scented citronella candles and make anti-insect bite lotions available to your guests, especially if the ceremony is at dusk.

6) Don’t get caught out with rules and permits! Even if you are getting married in an out-of-way location, there may still be national park wardens that need to give out a permit before the ceremony can take place. Waste removal and photography are other areas that may be regulated, so check to avoid having to postpone the wedding at the last minute.

7) Have a substitute location, preferably indoors, in the case that the weather turns bad. You wouldn’t want to be caught out in a rainstorm during your outdoor wedding, so make sure that you can retreat to a roof over your head for a more traditional marriage ceremony, if necessary.
