How to start planning a wedding: Once the common stuff like selecting a date, telling family about the engagement is out of the way you can dive right into the main parts of planning a wedding.

Most women start thier planning off by looking at magazines and going to bridal shows. If your on a budget allot of that stuff won't be that affordable. An even better option would be to go to some local stores and shops and start writing down ideas. For example, crafts stores and dollar stores might give you ideas for decorations. This will give you a better idea of what some things will cost. When you have a good idea of what the cost of things are you can then set a more realistic budget.

One of the things that is even better then magazines and bridal stores is the Internet. There are lots of articles online that will give you advice for a bride on a budget. The advice you get online is often allot better what you get from people who work right in the wedding industry.

Another really good place to look for ideas is eBay. There are lots of cheap wedding supplies on there that could give you ideas or you may even consider buying some things right off eBay. It is well worth a look.

Check Out Many Locations

There are plenty of unique locations to have a wedding. I recommend that you check out different sites in your town or city. Hotels are very popular because you can have the reception and ceremony right there. They can also make things easy for people who are arriving from out of town. But for some couples they will be too boring or just too expensive. Check out gardens, backyards, beaches, parks, and more. You might find something that is just perfect.

Finally, make sure that you give yourself lots of time to do the planning. Do the things that I suggest. Just start off by coming up with ideas and checking things out.
