If you’re planning a winter wedding there’s no point choosing a castle based on its stunning grounds as most the wedding will probably be indoors. Do you want to just have the wedding at the castle or just the reception or both?. Planning the whole day at one location would certainly be a lot easier on you and your guests. You know what area you want your castle and you know what you want it for, now you can start compiling a list of castle wedding venues. Before you start looking at wedding castles there are several things you’ll need to consider first. When planning your wedding you’ll need to consider the time of year you’d like it to be. A castle with a stunning ground will probably be more important to you if you’re planning a summer wedding. If you’re planning a winter wedding the chances are the interior and the size of the rooms available are going to be more of a deciding factor. Next you’ll need to examine your rough guest list. Trying to cram and extensive guest list into a small castle is not going to be practical or pleasant. You may find that some wedding venues actually have a minimum or maximum guest list. If you’re inviting an extensive guest list you’ll need to think about how they’re going to get there. If you know your wedding venue is going to have to accommodate dozens of cars you’ll want to make sure you don’t start looking at castles with a strict parking limit.

Knowing these things will make it easier when it comes to asking the key question for booking your wedding venue. You don’t want to fall in love with a beautiful castle only to find they can’t accommodate all your guests. This can make you end up hating any other castle you look at.
