A wedding is real celebration of love, but it is also an organizational task involves a great deal of patience and responsibility. There are often hundreds of tasks on your wedding ideas list, but the truth is, it’s not as easy as checking them off one after the other.
That is because weddings are also firmly rooted in tradition and etiquette. There are many decisions that need to be made by taking these rules and traditions into account. One of these such tasks is the decision of how large your bridal party is going to be.
Traditionally individuals are chosen to be part of the bridal party because they are especially close to the bride and groom. The bridesmaids are there to help the bride on her big day, and the groomsmen are there for the groom in the same way.
However, those attendants are often key players in other pre wedding celebrations like a bridal shower or bachelor party. Often it falls to the maid or matron of honor to plan and throw the bridal shower.
Additionally, the bridal party may be responsible for creating a bachelorette party for the bride to be. The men do not have to worry about a shower, but the best man is typically in charge of planning a bachelor party for the groom to be. This can be a simple night out on the town or an elaborate Las Vegas weekend. Members of the wedding party are responsible for purchasing their own out fits for the event and for traveling to the wedding itself.
Additionally, the attendants will probably be given jobs that will help you plan your actual wedding. Specific responsibilities can vary from wedding party to wedding party. However, one of the most difficult things to do is to decide how many attendants you want to have on your big day.
The number and selection of people in your wedding party is a very personal decision. How many people do you want to stand up with you on your big day? For the most part, the normal number of a wedding party can range between one and six people apiece for the bride and groom. A flower girl and a ring bearer are both also fairly common. This is the basic number and you’ll find that within it, you can have a lot of leeway to make a decision that suits you.
For instance, if you are planning a small and intimate wedding, one or two close friends might be all you need. On the other hand, having a large and formal wedding might mean that you are going to need to ten or twelve attendants on each side! No matter what your wedding looks like, though, just make it a point to follow your heart. You are looking at at an event that you want to remember for the rest of your lie, so think about the people that you are going to want standing up with you!
