A Wedding Planner Saved My Life
16 Jul 2009
After reviewing the myriad details involved in planning your wedding, you may decide you could use some help. Many women today are busy with careers. They find comfort in the advice of an expert when they find they don’t have the time to plan a wedding nor a mother nearby to lend a helping hand with those plans.
Brides have found hiring a well experienced consultant helpful, especially when planning a wedding out of town. If you fall into any of these categories, or just would feel more comfortable with a professional on the scene, you may want to consider hiring a bridal consultant, they can help you maximise time and money by making use of their abundant resources and recommending quality services.
The happy, but often hectic process of planning your wedding can be handled by a professional consultant/ wedding planner. There are consultants that offer packages with full service planning. From booking locations to hiring caterers, florists, musicians and supervising the actual wedding on the day. Others might be limited to specific cities. Or you might decide that you only need someone to supervise the day.
So determine what you want to have done, then choose a bridal consultant whose services fit your specific needs. Bridal consultants are there to provide the wedding you dream of; they handle the details, leaving you the time to enjoy your engagement, your family and your fiancé.
Even though the cost of a consultant may oftern vary according to the region and the services rendered, in most cases, what you pay may very well be offset by the amount of money and the hard work a consultant can save you in the long run. The actual amount you’ll pay will depend on your consultant’s method of billing.
Some will charge you a flat fee for their services. Others charge a percentage (usually between 10% to 20%) of the total wedding bill. Or if you’ve hired your consultant for only limited services, you may be charged an hourly rate. Depending on the bride’s needs, many use a combination of these methods. Some may also receive payment from vendors, rather than from the bride.
