The thought of getting married can be a daunting one, but when you have found the right person it may be all that you are thinking of. When it is time to ask the big question there are a number of things to consider. Of course, you want this to be a unique and special event, an event she will remember for the rest of her life!
Before you are even able to plan the proposal, finding the perfect ring may be on your mind. Maybe your family incorporates a tradition of antique engagement rings and you want your future wife to wear a family heirloom. If so, it is the time to get the special ring in shape. Have it polished for the special occasion.
Maybe you want to choose from the many solitaire engagement rings available. In this case, you may want to inscribe something special on the inside of the ring. What would you want your wife to read each day of her life? Think of a few special words that will carry her through her days.
Of course, your personality will play a big role in how you actually propose. Do you like simple and unique? If so there are a number of romantic, beautiful ways to propose. For instance, where does she put her everyday ring when it is time for bed? Wherever she leaves it replace her ordinary ring with the engagement ring. In the morning, she will find something else waiting for her. What a way to start a day!
You can also propose while she is asleep. Slip the engagement ring on her finger while she is sleeping. Wake her up gently with a sweet drink and strawberries in hand. She may not get it at first but when she sees the new ring on her finger she will definitely be wide awake!
You do not have to spend a lot of money to make a wedding proposal special. Putting your time and effort into making it unique gives it meaning enough. Granted, planning a proposal may feel like figuring out how to get rid of acne, but once you have created the perfect setting it will be a memory you will have forever.
Figure out what you will say when it is actually time to propose. This is one of the most important decisions a person will make. So, make sure to take care that you speak from the heart and complete honesty. Speaking from the heart can make the most inarticulate person seem like a master communicator. Good luck!
