A Las Vegas NV Wedding
19 Feb 2009
Elvis and Priscilla got married at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas NV. Then, of course, there was Bruce Willis/Demi Moore and Britney/what’s-his-name who got married at the Little White Wedding Chapel on the Las Vegas Strip. Betty Grable, Mickey Rooney, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Judy Garland, David Cassidy, Bob Geldof, Noel Gallagher, Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton all got married at the Little Church of the West in Las Vegas. Dennis Rodman and Carmen Electra married at A Little Chapel of the Flowers, Jon Bon Jovi married Dorothea Hurley at the Graceland Wedding Chapel, Wayne Newton married at The Flamingo Vegas hotel (as did Joan Crawford), Frank Sinatra and Mia Farrow married at The Sands Hotel (so did “Golden Girl” Betty White and actress Rita Hayworth) and Paul Newman married at the El Rancho. These are just a few of the celebrity weddings that took place in Las Vegas chapels. You can have a celebrity-caliber wedding at a reasonable price too!
Some people are drawn to Las Vegas NV for the cheap-and-easy wedding packages. Did you know you can have a Las Vegas wedding for $200 or less that includes the chapel, the minister, flowers for the bridge and groom, photos, music, a DVD and limo service? Chapels offering inexpensive services include the Las Vegas Wedding Chapel, A Special Memory Chapel, Candlelight Wedding Chapel, Chapel of the Bells, Cupid’s Wedding Chapel, Graceland Wedding Chapel, Little Church of the West, Mon Bel Ami Wedding Chapel, Shalimer Wedding Chapel, Sweetheart’s Wedding Chapel, The Bel Amour, the Little White Wedding Chapel, The Stained Glass Chapel, The Vegas Wedding Chapel and the Wee Kirk O The Heather Wedding Chapel.
If you would like, you can choose one of the Las Vegas hotels as the setting for your Las Vegas NV wedding ceremony, reception and honeymoon! How convenient is that? Las Vegas wedding packages can be found at The Bellagio Hotel, Caesars Palace, Circus Circus, Excalibur, Imperial Palace, Las Vegas Hilton, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand Hotel, Monte Carlo, Paris, Planet Hollywood, The Stratosphere, The Venetian and The Wynn. For packages starting at $1500, The Bellagio Hotel has two wedding chapels; the South for 130 guests or the East for 30 guests, as well as ceremonies on the Terrace of Dreams, which overlooks the lake and a dancing fountain show.
For $899 and up, Caesar’s Palace can seat up to 196 guests and you can choose from elegant Old World Tuscany décor, with an outdoor garden venue with Roman architecture, a koi pond, fountain, tiled aisle and palm trees. Excalibur is a cool choice because it offers medieval-themed weddings for $155 and up. The Mandalay Bay ($1100 and up) offers receptions with the Shark Reef aquarium backdrop and The Stratosphere’s Chapel in the Clouds is on the 103rd and 104th floors, high above the Las Vegas Strip.
Once you get married in Las Vegas NV, you’ll have to plan your romantic honeymoon. For a romantic view, try the Stratosphere Tower, the Eiffel Tower at Paris, Prime and Jasmine (restaurants at Bellagio), The House of Blues Foundation Room (Mandalay Bay), Mix (THEhotel), the Voodoo Lounge & Cafe (Rio) or Moon (The Palms). For romantic eats, Las Vegas offers Mon Ami Gabi (Paris Hotel), which provides an authentic Parisian café setting and stunning views of The Bellagio’s dancing fountain. André’s (the downtown version) is a rustic and romantic hotspot, as is Alizé and Nove Italiano (the Palms) and Top of the World (The Stratosphere.) Mix (THEhotel at Mandalay Bay) has cozy tables on an outdoor balcony and Fleur de Lys (Mandalay Bay) offers expensive, five-star cuisine with a fresh flower wall backdrop. Take a Lake Las Vegas cruise or a gondola ride at The Venetian if it suits your fancy or purchase a couples massage at one of the many spas. Some of the most highly recommended spa packages include “the Rasul Ceremony for Two” at The Venetian’s Canyon Ranch Spa or the “Pittura Festa” at the Platinum’s WELL Spa.
