I am getting married 09/06/08 and my colors are hot pink, black, and white. I am trying to stay away from floral centerpieces at the reception, but I have no idea what to do!! The table cloths are going to be black and I would like to use the hot pink as an accent…but I need help. Any ideas please??

We used large glass bowls (like rimless fish bowls), added colored stones in the colors of our wedding to the bottom, filled them with water, and added scented floating candles. They were gorgeous, and affordable.

Fill a Large Vase or Jar with hot pink M&M's or Candies. Put votive candles around with some white rose petals.

A round mirror purchased from a craft store with pink candles in glass votives. Sprinkle some flowers petals around it and you have a very elegant centerpiece.

I would do a clear cylinder tall vase with like peppers or limes in it… depends on the wedding colors these days those are very popular!

A think a great idea is to use framed pictures of you and your spouse with backs facing each other. Candles next to them add a romantic touch. Something like this:

You should easily be able to find black picture frames pretty cheap and you can attach them together using swing brackets or even taping them together. It looks like this person used matting frames.

i love the m&m's in the vase idea also if you didn't want to use m&m's they have those colored balls you could fill the vases with. another idea i love is getting some fish bowls and getting bright colord beta fish to put in them…only problem with that is what happens to the fish after. if you have kids comming maybe talk to parents before and see if they would like to take them home {find homes for them before hand}.

i personally love non floral centerpieces…and they are cheaper!

    GOOD LUCK! :-)

I say do three vases at different heights on a mirror add water with hot pink rose petals and a floating candle on top. These centerpieces look awesome.

Use mirror fragments, glass beads/pebbles (used to fill floral vases), confetti, etc. around the table. Candles are always nice (just don't used scented candles because the smell will take away from the flavor of the food), but ask the venue if you are allowed to use candles, and make sure you have something to protect the table cloths from the dripping wax.

A friend of mine had fish – bettas, I think. It looked really neat (the guests took them home at the end of the night).

You could buy some tall drinking glasses or vases and fill them with white beads or fake white pearls and put a hot pink flower or floating candle on top. Or, group a couple of small vases together and wrap them with strands of fake pearls. Put water in and a few drops of food coloring to make the water pink and add a hot pink floating candle.
