Sorry this is so long, but planning a wedding and reception is stressing and I am willing to hear any ideas!!
My fiancee and I are on a very tight budget so we are holding our wedding and reception at a community center which include round tables, chairs and a bar area. However, because it IS a community center and all we have for the cermony is the unity candles and a candle for my grandfather, I am afraid it will look a bit, well, blah. We have wonderful idea's for the reception. Our theme is black and white, so if anyone knows any decorations for that theme for the cermony, or where the "alter" would be, please feel free to suggest anything!
OH! And also, any "aisle" ideas ( we really don't want a aisle runner) would help as well=]
Thanks in advance!
Buy silk flowers and make arrangements….They always look real!!
Also, candles are beautiful! This is where I bought my candles from. I had them shipped to me.

For the aisle, make a little arrangement of silk flowers and ribbon and tie them on the chairs that are in the aisle. Very nice!
I hand made almost everything at my wedding (except the candles). It was so beautiful, personal, and inexpensive!
Congratulations and good luck
What type of decorations did you put on the table where your wedding cake was? I am having a fall wedding so I was going to scatter fake fall leaves around the table with some tea lights and of course the knift set and personalized napkins we ordered.
Our cake is white and decorating with fresh strawberries so we're carrying that white and red color scheme on to the table too. We're putting a beautiful claret (dark red) tablecloth on the table and then sprinkling it with white and red rose petals.

Need tulle, ribbon, aisle cloth, guest book, silk arrangements, formal looking plates, bowls and cake plates, 108" round ivory tablecloths & overlays, table centerpieces, candles, etc….
You get the tulle at JoAnn's or Hancock Fabrics.
JoAnn's sale is usually 2yds/$1; they're having a sale this Friday. Check them out. Probably be able to get ribbon there too. But I would try Michael's before Hobby Lobby for ribbon & flowers.
Another place would be Garden Ridge. It moved over to Tri-County by Galaxy Golf & Dave & Busters, behind Target.
Garden Ridge has A LOT. (got my son's wedding flowers there)
Haven't been here in awhile, but they might be able to help you on some things like plates & tablecloths

Good Luck!
Ps. Looking for an officiant; email me.
I want dramatic yet beautiful. I want it all to go together and don’t want to get chair covers.
Please envision each option and kindly tell me which would look better?
Option 1
Hot pink chair tulle sashes (wooden chairs)
No chair covers
Hot pink rose centerpieces
White napkins
White table covers
Option 2
White chair tulle sashes (wooden chairs)
No chair covers
Hot pink rose centerpieces
Hot pink napkins
White table covers
Option 2- very elegant, different but pretty. Good choice of colors-truly a non traditionalist.

Asside from filling the reception room with balloons and flowers, what other kinds of decorations would be wedding approprate/princess themed?
As of right now, I want the center pieces for the tables to consist of ballooons (8 people per table, 8 baloons) and holding down the balloons will be an assortment of Cinderella's glass slipper, Magic wands, Princess crowns….
What else can I do to make the room look magical and enchanting?
Play love songs from Disney movies in the background. Drape shimmery tulle around the ceiling and tie tulle bows around the backs of the chairs. The white pillars that you rent would also look great with flowers or more balloon assortments throughout the room. Use very dim light.
I am organising my own wedding myself and have only ever been to one wedding before so Im sure you can understand its quite difficult, Im really stuck on table decorations, Im thinking rose petals and table diamonds but dont know what to put in the middle eg candle or flowers, tring to keep flower cost low though so candles would be good, would small ones look ok on a large round table? help
I also organized my own wedding and was a pretty big wedding (37 tables;300+guests). We also didn't have a huge budget so after looking around for a nice, simple yet elegant centerpiece i went for this.

Everyone loved them…it set a very romantic mood.
Here is what I did;
* I bought the bases at a florist supplies store for $5.75 each * Flowers were bought at a farmers market at whole sale price.
* Candles were bought at IKEA for 1 dollar each.
Hope this helps….congratulations

Our wedding is very simple and outdoors. My fiance is into outdoors, fishing, and hunting.
I would do a lake/forest kind of thing, Have a frog grooms cake, it symbolizes that you finally found your prince after kissing all those frogs. Put the cake on a stand in the middle of the lake, with fake animals & trees around it. They sell little animals, trees, guns at Toys 'R' Us.
I HOPE THIS HELPS OR AT LEAST GIVES YOU SOME IDEAS TO PLAY WITH. GOOD LUCK & CONGRATS ON FINDING THAT SPECIAL SOMEONE TO SPEND THE REST OF YOUR LIFE WITH!!!
