Archive for wedding centerpiece ideas

I’m getting married on June 26th, 2010 and we are trying to come up with something cheap, easy and unique. We are unable to use actual candles and want to avoid using flowers as they can easily become very expensive. I’ve been looking around and have found some made with Jello that look great but I’m not sure we will have the time to make them, we need something that is cheap, easy and that we can basically toss onto the table and not have to worry about. Open to any suggestions! Thanks!
Wedding colors are baby blue, chocolate brown and white…if it helps. We’ve considered beta’s but we worry that they won’t be taken home by the guests and can’t keep THAT many betas, especially since you can’t have two in the same tank unless they are a male and female.

You could pile up favor boxes for your centerpiece
or have framed photos of you both on each table
or have framed photos of friends and family at their own weddings
or a basket filled with candy
or jars filled with candy that match your colors

there are lots more ideas here http://www.cheap-wedding-solutions.com/cheap-wedding-centerpiece.html

My wedding colors are royal blue and silver. I am looking for wedding centerpiece ideas that I can do myself using candles. I am looking for a simple yet full look. Anyone with any ideas, and pictures would be great.

hope these help you!!! and congrats on getting married

here are some pics for you to look at of centerpieces = )

hope these help. and on all of these you can get pieces to match the colors of your wedding. you dont have to go by whats in the pics.

Our colors are red & white. We’re going for a very romantic feel. Our flowers are roses, but we’re on a tight budget so I don’t want to use a lot of flowers. Im thinking maybe some rose petals scattered around the centerpiece.

Oh & I don’t like the glass beads vase fillers.

Thank you so much for your help!

Well I found this site that has 5 ideas that are for under 20 dollars and you can do yourself. They seem pretty cool.

And you dont need to use glass beads in vases or anything. Change it around for valentine’s day. Candy is pretty cheap where you are I think? And you might be able to get some small vases, fill them with silver and red Hershey’s kisses(instead of glass beads) or another selection of red and white candy and then put a rose shaped or other huge Valentine’s lollipop in the center…makes for an added treat for those at the tables and it looks cute.
I found this website for the candywarehouse and they have a bulk buy section so that might help you there.

These are some of the candy roses that they have- http://www.candywarehouse.com/3drosepops.html

Maybe instead of using the red and white candy you can use a normal vase or other container and fill it with sand(which you can dye red or buy already dyed, and alternate tables with red sand and white sand) and then place a couple of those types of roses in there. And you don’t even need to use sand or another filler in the vase.

This site also has some decorations which you can either buy from them or you can use for ideas to create your own. http://valentines-day-fun.makesparties.com/Catalog.aspx?intDisplayableCategoryID=1216&intDisplayableProductID=66585

Well I hope that helps.
Have a great wedding no matter what happens and an even better marriage.
God bless.

I’m having a Twilight-themed wedding. I’m going for a really sophisticated, subtle feel. Anyway, I bought all of the Twilight cars, minus Jacob’s since I couldn’t find it, (models 1/18 size) to be used as the centerpieces on the tables. I just want them to be dressed up with flowers or something else. Any ideas? Should they be platformed? How should they be presented?

The groom is a Jacob not an Edward! :) The cars are approx. 10 inches long, 4.5 inches wide.

I’m not goth; though, I do invite any goth-inspired ideas.

In 10 years, everyone is going to think his or her wedding was cheesy no matter what is done. In 10 years, I’ll just look back at how happy I was and laugh.

I’ve never been happier planning this wedding. Thanks for the positive comments!

I’m not really sure what you mean? You got like small micromachine cars? are they 1/18" in size or like 1/18 the size of a real car.

maybe put them on a mirror disk with flowers or pretty pebbles around and flowers in the windows?

ps. wtf is up with the girl thats saying my darling darling and shit like that? ugh. weird

Okay, so my boyfriend finally popped the question and now its on to planning the wedding. This is what we have planned so far: We are getting married on August 14th 2010 at a state park. We are renting out a pavilion for the day. We will be having the wedding ceremony and reception at the same location. We have picked out a caterer, that we feel in love with and the cake is ready to go!
What I need help with is coming up with some cute centerpiece ideas. At this point, I think that my colors are going to be Orchid and cream but I am not sure. I am really just starting to feel overwhelmed and confused and really need some suggestions on centerpieces.
Thanks so much for reading this and I hope to hear back from someone soon!
Melissa
Thank you so much everyone for replying so far! Your ideas have really inspired me to be creative! My next question is do you think that fake flowers or "cheap flowers" like carnations tacky?

I don’t know where you live or whether wind will be a factor. If so, you need to keep them fairly low.

A mirror tile with a bowl with floating flowers in your colors would look pretty.

This bowl is what I’m thinking of - I know you can find them a lot cheaper!

Does anyone have any ideas for fall wedding centerpieces…Im getting married Sept 09 and I would like the fall theme incorporated in centerpieces and not look cheap. I love candles but with little kids running around dont think its the safest.

My wedding colors are bridesmaids=chocolate brown and my flowers are orange, yellow, burgundy, pink (fall colors), Im going with gold accents which can incorporated in the center pieces. Please give me some ideas and links to pics (visuals) if possible. thanks guys
Im not american, nor am i a country bumpkin..its a city wedding lol. i dont think we can have hay on the floor

Get yourself a clear glass bowl (usually you can pick these up at a craft store fairly cheap) and do an assortment of things like fall leaves, brown twigs, dried ferns and pine-cones. Something similar to this, but nicer! (its the best example I could locate on the web) http://interiordec.about.com/cs/familyrooms/l/blfallpr027g.htm

You could also get a tall vase and just do long brown twigs. Something like the center piece in these pictures: http://jessicalynn402.blogspot.com/2007/11/twiggy.html

Not sure how well this would go with your set up or not, but simply having really nice fall flowers in a vase is really pretty. Sunflowers come in so many colors now days. Here are some ok examples . .I was thinking something better but again . .best I could find: http://www.do-it-yourself-weddings.com/fall-wedding-centerpiece.html
