how about bird houses with the flowers decorating the roof.
or decorative lumeniers (spelled wrong), like the brass or black metal ones they sell at craft stores,,, you can use the flowers to decorate the bottom and have a candle burning to illuminate the centerpiece.

This video explains how to position and orient the remaining 4 centers. The first 2 centers I place are the Red and Blue centers, which must be oriented properly. Red/Black/Blue must have a clockwise orientation. Link to PART 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8flc9471b8o Next I go on to place the last 2 centers. If you decide to SKIP TO THIS PART, you can fast forward to around 5:15. I explain how to: 1) Try to keep on forming 1×4 blocks and join them together 2) If you cannot create any …

I want something like carnations with a big top that’s easy to cut off and put into a foam wreath holder for my wedding center pieces. Any other ideas?

Daisies go well with carnations :)

okay i have posted a question about this befor but i didnt get what i really wanted. i need some ideas for a wedding center piece something unqiue not the same old floating candles in a bowl or just candles with a mirrow or this fish bowl idea im having a traditonal wedding my color are lavander a 2 shades of pink light and dark my theme is the double hearts also silver and white of corse i can really use some ideas for any part of the wedding to that you have please help

What I did was had a different kind of flower on each table in one of those single flower vases and then I also floated that flower in a bowl with it and named each table after that flower instead of the traditional numbering of tables. So the parent's table was "The Rose Table" and I had one single pink rose and then floated a rose bud in a bowl with it on a mirror. Then another table was "The Daisy Table"…etc..etc..
Just an idea! =)

I want to do something fun and different for my wedding center pieces, and i thought about getting blank cards and leaving a few cards, colored paper and neat pens in the center of the table (along with a bud vase with 2 roses) So that guests could write special thoughts, comments and messages and put them in a scrap book after the wedding. Does this sound like a good idea, or does it sound too cheesy, or low class???

I like that idea. I think it will be fun for the guests. I went to a wedding that had fabric squares that people could write a wedding message on that the couple was going to have made into a quilt. It was really neat.

I wouldn't recommend it, even though it might look nice. For one, bettas are tropical and need warmer temperature than they'd get in a bowl, particularly if the reception hall is airconditioned. Secondly, there's a lot of activity around the tables and the fish would be stressed. When they're upset, they can jump. Would you really want to have a betta flopping around on someone's food plate? And third, what happens after the reception? Someone needs to take the fish who can provide a proper home and care.

I am planning to create my own centerpieces for my wedding reception. I plan to make 15 or more centerpieces. I want to keep the Gerbera daisy in a pot. I also want to make a bouquet. Does any one have any ideas on how to make them. The wedding will be August 2, 2008. When should I plan to make the centerpieces.

That's the potted gerbera daisy–of course you can add as many as you'd like.

This is cool–a bride made her own bouquets as well–and she give instructions.

why dont you save money… and have someone go cut some out of a tree then spray paint them white…. spray paint is cheap!!! and you can use the money elsewhere in the wedding planning!!

ps make sure the limbs are good and dry.. before you spray paint them….

and to make it really pretty if you are using gold or silver in your wedding colors… while the paint is still wet sprinkle glitter in the paint.. to add a lil sparkle to it…. if you arent using either one of those colors you can still do this.. just buy the clear/white glitter…

hope things go great… and thats a cute idea for a center piece
