Having been a certified wedding planner for many years, I was pleased when asked to write a review for the Sheffield School’s wedding planning course.

The website is well designed with everything you need or may be interested in on the front (home) page. Clicking on “The Complete Courses in Wedding and event planning,” you are immediately transported to an informational page about what this course will provide you with and how you can benefit from it. Providing the site with some simple information allows you immediately access to the very informative online course catalog. My favorite parts of this course (and that which I was lacking in my education) is the online testing, which allows you to instantly view your results and the virtual internship, which provides you with hands on activities and personal feedback from a Sheffield teacher, which is delivered to you as audio recordings. At the completion of the course you will receive a graduation certificate that can be displayed in your home or office.

This course seems so helpful and hands on that I am tempted to take the course for extra education and the one on one support that is not provided by so many wedding planning courses out there.

Lastly, I was very impressed with their online newsletter. It, like the website, is well designed, informative and (my favorite part) themed. Currently they are running an “April in Paris” themed newsletter, which includes French inspired wedding tips.

If you are considering a career as a bridal consultant and would like to look at a course in Wedding and Event Planning, I highly recommend checking out the Sheffield School .

Wedding Centerpieces: Making The Ordinary Extraordinary

Choosing a wedding centerpiece is an exciting and often difficult process. Many young couples are searching for alternatives to the traditional floral and candle arrangements. Adding a personal touch to your wedding reception with your table centerpieces can be a great way to make yours a wedding to remember.

Traditional fresh flowers are always beautiful centerpieces, but can be presented in unique and unusual ways. Try personalizing your wedding centerpieces by creating shapes from florist’s foam. Several spheres in varying sizes made of fresh flowers could be grouped in the center of the table. You could design a topiary made of fresh flowers in the shape of hearts, or create interlocking wedding rings of flowers.

Another great way to personalize your reception is with a theme. Choose something you both enjoy, and use it as the basis for your reception. If you like teddy bears, for example, use them as your cake topper, and create centerpieces with platforms or vases filled with flowers and accented by bride and groom bears.

An unusual alternative centerpiece is an Edible Arrangement. These are wonderful floral designs made of fresh fruit. Unique and even quite beautiful, they can be very colorful and may be munched on during the reception.

If you decide to use vases or bowls in your arrangements, consider having them etched. An engraved quote or the names of the bride and groom would make the centerpiece unique and special. Personalization has become very popular.

Have fun with your wedding centerpieces and give them away to someone from each table. Place a sticker or ribbon on a single chair at each table, and the lucky winner can take home the centerpiece. This is a great way to ensure your wedding centerpiece ideas will be appreciated and remembered.

Money saving tips for your dream wedding
Everyone have their own ideas, dream, imagination about their wedding. But when comes to real life, we do need to shell out lot of money to make our dream wedding comes true. Still we can manage to do our wedding a big one if we plan ahead well for the big day. We should be well prepared for the big day and should know what are the most mandatory things needed for the wedding and how much do each stuff costs. Trick to reduce the cost as well as making the wedding a big one is to reduce the costs incurred in music and decorations. Instead of using costly items for decorations we can use a cheap item, which reduces the cost and serves the purpose. Check the prices in major leading shops and shop where the prices are less. The best time to shop is during the off-season. Because during off-season you can avail lot of discounts, so you can save your money. Instead of going for a DJ in the wedding hall you can select and save set of songs you like and play it. Natural flowers do cost much more than artificial flowers so you can save your money if you are not specific about natural flowers. You can use the items like artificial flowers, card , candle holders which are not used by newly married couples. Ask your friends and relatives for help and if they wish you are lucky enough.
Happy married life :)

Beautifully Submerged

I love this new twist on an old classic. Cylinders with floating candles and submerged flowers are an elegantly unique centerpiece. These centerpieces are forever changing with an unlimited number of different varieties of cylinders, flowers and colors. The first two featured here both contain submerged orchids, but are drastically different. The last contains submerged roses and lilies, again a completely different and unique look.

Luminosity

A “White Disposable FloraLyte” makes this centerpiece possible. The small LED light is placed both in the Calla Lilies and the glass cylinder filled with water gel crystals. This is a gorgeous effect for evening and winter events.

Lusciously fruitful

I love it when fruits are used for centerpieces. The first two centerpieces features hollowed out pumpkins. The first is filled with water and a floating candle. The second is filled with a beautiful floral bouquet. The next two centerpieces feature lemons. This look is clean, bright and fresh. Not to mention, the cut lemons will leave an essence of lemon on the air setting a wonderfully light tone for your event.

Expressive and Toasty

These two centerpieces illustrate different ideas with wine bottles. The first features a tall swirly plant stand with an extravagant floral piece. In the center of the stand sits a bottle of wine surrounded by grapes. The second features a bottle of wine that doubles as the table number, a jar of corks, a jar of grapes, a cylinder of flowers and 5 votives.
