Julie’s floral style can make the ordinary extraordinary. In this video, she walks through how to take a pear, a cut orchid, and pinecones to make a set of great name card holders. The set of name card holders coordinates well with her new Chelsea Christmas Arrangement (http://www.1800flowers.com/chelsea-christmas-by-julie-mulligan), or with any other evergreen table centerpiece. Keep in mind, the couple is on a tight budget. Early afternoon wedding. Rectangle tables.

Colors: blue, white, silver, black
Table Linen: white (white linen is free)

All suggestions are welcomed.

Get some clear glass vases of different sizes, at a dollar store (or Big Lots). If they have square or rectangle ones, that's even better. You can buy bags of translucent, iridescent pebbles in bags at Dollar Tree (blue, silver, white, clear) and put some into the vases. Then just stick a silver candle in each one. Different sized vases in groups of 3 on each table would be pretty. Put a runner under the grouping in blue; scatter some metallic glitter or confetti down the runner too…….. This could also be done using 1 big flower in each vase, instead of a candle. It would stand upright because of the pebbles, and you can put water in there. A big Gerbena Daisy (white) or Hydrangea would be pretty

I need to turn the letter 'A' into something for a table centerpiece. Its for a retreat and Im supposed to make a creative centerpiece displaying the letter "A". In the past, I have done the letter 'F' and put a wooden letter in a fish tank with fish. Others have done "L" and turned it into a lion. I really need help cause I have no fun ideas for the letter "A". Please help!
its not so much serving as part of a table setting. its so the group knows which table we'll be sitting at for each meal.

Why don't you put an "A" Shaped Small Art Easel so that way on each side of the table you can place your menu's as to what will be served for dinner that day or what activities are planned for that day..

I am having a beach themed wedding reception and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what I can use to make sandcastle centerpieces for the tables.

I'd make it out of an air dry clay, like Model Magic, or if you want to do a castle with squared corners, make it out of foam core and low melt hot glue (for strength), then paint it with glue and press sand onto it. If you actually make it from sand, your chances that it will survive the reception are slim to none, and it will weigh about ten pounds. You can also do round towers out of mailing tubes….or go to Michaels and ask the frame shop manager for the discarded cores of the kraft paper they use for the backs of pictures. The foam core/cardboard tube is the most cost effective, if you are on a budget…and if you are NOT on a budget, contact me and I'LL make them for you! lol

If you email me, I'll send you pics of a castle we did for a summer camp project. Type in Sandcastle as the subject.

I think the theme sounds great! Good luck!
