It will be in the afternoon, outside, under a tent, early June. We are looking at 20 to 30 tables so we will need a lot of centerpieces, but we don't have a lot of money to spend on them. I'm definitely interested in any DIY ideas. No candles or scattered flower petals since it's outside. The primary color is blue. Thanks!

make fruit flower centerpeices… June has lots of good berries and fuit avaible .. hit up a local famers market… grab a few brilliant friends a few small knives and lots of imagination… they look great and they are a good to hold the guest over untill you feed them … we did this the day before the wedding as a relax and have fun thing… we put them on every other table… and then we put cheese on other tables ..
it turned out well everyone mingled eating from other tabels and talking…

My colors are red, white, and silver. I want to do something inexpensive but different than a plain flower arrangement. Any pictures of real centerpieces?

I don't have a picture but for my upcoming wedding in October I'm using a crackled glass looking large mouth bowl that has some sparkle to it with shiny gem rocks on the bottom and floating rose candles burning in the middle – I'm placing these on flat mirrors to reflect the light and sprinkling rose petals around it – my colors are purple and silver

The reception is in TN at the church I attend. We don't need anything fancy, just something that makes the tables look nice.
Thanks for all the great ideas! Just to let you know-the colors are pink and silver.

A glass bowl with floating candles and little flowers that match you wedding colors. You can make the water colored to match also. A ribbon around the rim of the bowl would look nice. This should cost you about $3 a table.

Colors are different shades of blues, greens, yellows, and white

Gerbera Daisy's in simple vases with raffia ribbon tied near the top of the vase. They would be the right colors for you, and are perfect for a summer wedding. Congrats on your upcoming nuptials.

Centerpiece Giveaways can always be a fun way to keep the guests interested and having a good time. Here’s one to check out that I did this past summer (08).

my reception tables are rectangle and theres going to be 2 put together. i have no idea how to do theses centerpieces. I love flowers ans candles but i have no clue on what to have for centerpieces. please help its only 5 months away

be creative and do a cournacopia instead, worked at some other wedding i went to

The wedding is in June and is in Las Vegas. There is a tropical theme throughout the wedding.

See can you get mini palm trees. Lay out a bit of sand in a dish surrounding the trees and put little shell all around the tree. Get little treasure boxes to put in the sand too.

so basically you will need:

A container that is about 3/4 inch high, size of a salad plate
beach sand
miniature shells and tresure boxes

have grass or straw mats under the plates or under the place where the cake sits

You can also get empty glass coke bottles, and layer them with things (making sure they dont get all mixed up so you can actually see the shells)- for example:

blue gel
sand
seashells
sand
mini seahorses
sand
and to top it off you can get little mini umbrellas.

Fill a glass bowl with water, put blue food coloring in it. Drop in a few glow sticks of whatever color and top the bowl with a floating ship…

My fabulous intern Sarah was nice enough to step in for me today. This wedding reception is accented with sand, sea shells, starfish and candles.
