Archive for centerpieces for wedding

You could get mid size globe and but white candles in them and sit them on the table. Also on the globes you can get some kind of paint and write the bride and grooms name on it the year the weeding took place.

I can’t burn candles because we will be inside.

Get a round, clear glass to place over the middle of the table. Underneath it, put black and white pictures of you and your sweetie. In the center, have different, cool shaped clear glass vases or bowls. Have black sand or black and white rocks in the bottom of the vase. Fill with water and on top float white flowers (gardenias work amazing for this as well as water lilies or the white gerber dasies with black centers) To add a bit more flair you could even tie a black and white ribbon around the glass. Sprinkle black, white, and clear crystals around the table.

Here are some more centerpeices pictures and ideas.

Or just a tray with plain black river rock and white candles. You can buy the river rock in bulk from a home store, and get plain wooden trays to paint black:

You can also dress it up with a flower:

You could make your favors do double duty as a centerpiece. Use white boxes tied with black ribbon (or black boxes tied with white ribbon) and stack them in the center of the table (on a cake plate if you can find one, or maybe just in a pretty silver tray)

Use a single white flower in a tall vase with black rocks at the bottom:

My wedding colors are bright pink, orange, and yellow. We are having a destination wedding (alone) and coming back for our reception. We will serve bbq at the reception, have a cotton candy machine, a topsy turvy wedding cake, and our wedding favors are going to be homemade jams with our picture and wedding date on them. I can envision everything BUT the centerpieces.

to keep with the "bbq/picnic/downhome" theme set by the bbq and homemade jams (Too cute!), go to your local garden store -or you may even be able to find them in a discount/dollar store – and look for the "spouted" watering cans in tin, copper, brass…whatever color would best compliment the theme. You could even mix up the metals. Put fresh cut daisies in them in a loose, natural "wild-just picked" fashion. You can adorn the watering can by tying a pretty ribbon -that also compliments your decor- around the middle of it. You can also lay/prop a cute little planters spade and some gardening gloves along either side of the can.

Another idea I've seen done for spring/summer weddings in your theme is to use a clear container (whether it be a vase, mixed jars…whatever container you'd like to use, mix em up for extra variety!) and you fill the jar with FROZEN PEAS and some water. I know Frozen Peas sounds weird, but they look SOOOO pretty w/the daisies and they add a nice touch of garden green.

For something a little more elegant: You could also do water bowls. Go to the "pet" section of your local wal mart or you may even find them in a craft store, and get the large/flatter round clear glass fish/basin bowls. Fill it w/water and float some floating candles and daisy flower heads in it.

JUST HAVE FUN!!!!

I can't have open flame or smoke and i don't want the cliche flowers or pumkin any other suggestions?

I did a big search of google and these are all the photos that I found, hopefully some of these spark some interest and ideas for you! I personally like the Dry Ice ones.

I am getting married on a riverboat, so I can't have glass items or candles. I am looking for any ideas that could be un-expensive (I'm spending plenty on this wedding already!) I will need 12 altogether. My best idea so far is orchids of different colors, in plastic pots ( My flower is purple orchids, it would be tough to match it) Thank you =)

i would say flowers and do flower pettles around it so it looks filled in?tuff call but worth it when u want what u want.

i don't want the traditional centerpieces for my wedding i want a unique look to my tables. I was think about a odd shaped vase with floating flowers and that's where i got stuck help me please give me some ideas.

I used small vases with colored glass rocks and blue beta fish as centerpieces. Then I let the children take them all home so I didn't have to worry about taking care of 30 fish. By the cakes we had his and hers fish (red and blue) in separate vases of course, that we took home with us. We still have them 5 years later. They are a nice reminder of our wedding. If you wanted to, you could still have floating flowers in there with the fish.

I have vases picked out, but other than that I don't really know how to decorate them besides the flowers. Flowers that I like are gerbera daises, roses, dahlias, and Hydrangea.

Hydrangea are my favorite… large and vibrant really makes a statement. You could alternate the mix of the colors in the vases and accent with ribbon in the fushia. Or use cream hydrangea with fushia
roses are really stunning.

Around each centerpiece, tea lights or votives are very pretty. Or use a large pillar candle in the center of the flower arrangements/

Colors are very stunning! Have fun with them.

I am using 8 inch pomander balls (flowers in a styrofoam ball that form a ball) for my centerpieces & have yet to figure out how I would like to display them. One thought is to hang them on a "banana hanger" over a mirror, surrounded by candles. Any other suggestions? Advice?

Find some heavy twigs, and some small planter containers. Fill the planter containers with rice, rocks, candy whatever floats your boat and place the pomander balls on the end of the twigs and then "plant" them in the planters. Let your guests, throw the rice at the end of the wedding.

Oh but don't let them throw the rocks!

Good luck and congrats.

I am thinking about having large brandy glasses with blue and clear gems in the bottom. Having a beta fish in the middle and a rose shaped floating candle on top. I plan on giving these away by putting a ticket on the bottom of one chair at each table and if they don’t want it they can give it to someone who wants it. I would also get some beta fish food and put it in a little bag and wrapping ribbon around it to give with the fish. Does this sound like a good idea.

I was thinking about using fish too. My problem is, no one will take them after. And the issue with beta is that I can't take them home and put all of them into my aquariam because they can't be put together. So I'm still debating trying a different type of fish.

EDIT: for the candles, there is a pet store near me that actually sells candles that are fine for this use. The realized how many people want it and jumped on it. The wax doesn't melt in the same way and it doesn't hurt the fish at all. I'm not sure what they are called but ask around in your area.
