Ok i have 8″ mirrors with hurricane laterns. So im trying to figure out how to create a nice centerpiece rather than the basic candle in it. Its a “Falling in Love” theme. If anyone has any ideas,pictures.. anything i would really appreciate it.

Have you thought about using rose petals? I think you could put some deep red, yellow and orange petals in them and that would help with your fall theme by using fall colors. :)

The center piece has to revolve around the theme ICY WORLD. We are asking for classy ideas, no styrofoam, stand-up figures, or flowers(allergies). We were thinking of fake crystals as confetti around several white candle, but we need more to it. Our colors are white, silver, and baby blue. Thank you.

How about mirror tiles for the candles to sit on?

i'm getting married at the end of september we're having a very small wedding and reception in my in laws backyard. the thing is i havent exactly decided on a theme yet. i wanted to do something with flowers and candles. my mother in law wants to use flower centerpieces. i think because the reception is going to be at night having a lot of flowers would be a waste because you wont really be able to see the beauty of the flowers. Besides they can become expensive. I think we should use candle centerpieces. I just need some ideas of something that would work with the two together. everything i see online is done indoors or during the day or is just way too much going on. I'm a very simple person….someone please help

First of all congrats! I am getting married Sept 27. Our reception hall has a very dim lighting so I did not want to use flowers either. They are expensive, but I wanted to small touch of flowers around. I went to Michaels and bought fishbowls. I am going to put flora gel in them. Inside the gel I have waterproof lights that are the color of my wedding colors. Then on top of the gel, I am just going to be the flower of a Gerber daisy on top, not the stem. Then on other tables I got glass rocks and we are going to put Betta fish in them and use the water proof lights. Then for the head table, I bought tall cylinder vases I am going to fill them with colored water and put a Gerber daisy in them. Then on top I am going to put a paper lantern that runs on batteries. I got those at the dollar store.
The fishbowls were a 1.68 a piece
The gel is 2.99 a bag and makes 1 1/2 quarts at hobby lobby
It is really inexpensive and unique
Just some ideas, hope I can help some!

I'm having long tables instead of round tables for my wedding reception. I know for the main table, I intend on having a centerpieces at the ends of the table instead of the middle, but I don't know what to do for the other two tables (3 tables total). I plan on alternating pillar candle centerpieces and a smaller bud vase type of centerpiece (http://blog.rollingmeadowsflorist.com/__oneclick_uploads/2008/06/207646.jpg) with maybe some votives around it. How many centerpieces do you think I'd need?

For a table that seats 6 people, put one in the middle. For a table of 12, have 2 centerpieces, and so on. Scatter votives all the way down but still allow room for other necessary stuff like bread baskets, salt and pepper shakers if you're having those on the tables, glassware, etc. so it's not cluttered.

I'm trying to make some decisions for centerpieces for my August wedding in a library.

Do you like these eiffel tower vases? I'd probably use feathers, branches, and greens but not too much blooms. And some small tealights surrounding the vase.

Or do you like lower centerpieces such as these lanterns with some greenery or rose petals and small tealights?

Of the three links, which do you prefer for a library setting? Part of me thinks the eiffel tower vases may be too obnoxious in this type of venue. But will the lanterns be enough to set a pretty table?

Thanks for your recommendations!

I really like this one. You can put some flowers around the stem and it will be really pretty. I think the tall ones are a bit much for a library setting. Also it says from that website you can't get them anymore. Save yourself the trouble of trying to find those.

The lantern is expensive though. You could go to a florist and get beautiful floral centerpieces for the same price or less.

Artistic tabletop fountain combines the sparkle of falling water and the warmth of candlelight— completely safe and free from open flames!

LED-light technology brings a warm glow to the faux candle centerpiece of an earthenware-look bowl. Bestows a beautiful halo of light and fluid motion anywhere! Polyresin and plastic. River stones included. Uses 2 AA batteries (not included). 6 1/4″ diameter x 7″ high.

Ok, I have seen quite a few questions on here about centerpieces and have even given answers to some. I was thinking of doing candle centerpieces with the mirror such as these http://www.orientaltrading.com/application?namespace=browse&origin=catalogProducts.jsp&event=link.itemDetails&demandPrefix=12&sku=70/3930&prodCatId=377384&mode=Browsing&erec=163&No=0&Ne=90000&sp=true&Ntk=all&Ntx=mode%252bmatchallpartial&N=377384&tabId=PartySupplies&sd=Heart-Shaped+Mirrors or http://www.orientaltrading.com/application?namespace=browse&origin=searchMain.jsp&event=link.itemDetails&demandPrefix=12&sku=70/3788&mode=Searching&erec=4&No=0&D=mirrors&Ntt=mirrors&Ntk=all&Dx=mode%252bmatchallpartial&Ntx=mode%252bmatchallpartial&N=0&sd=Octagon-Shaped+Mirrors
but I'm kind of getting bored with having candles and/or mirrors as centerpieces. Anyone have any other ideas? Our colors are lilac and silver.
In my friends wedding July 2007 she had a fish bowl with 2 fish in each bowl and at the bottom was a few red colored pebbles, didn't really like the idea too much because the fish died the next day everyone said.
I like the martini glass idea, thanks for the ideas keep them coming.

I've decided that I'm doing a martini glass w/ water in and a floating candle as my centerpiece and put some flowers around the bottom of it.. Then I'm either putting that wedding confetti on the tables or beads….
