    boutenniers for the guys
    Veil
    Shoes
    undergarments (bra, crinoline, hosiery, etc.)
Marriage License – I know that's closer to the day, but don't forget it!!
Thank-you gifts for attendants and parents
    Thank you cards!
    Alcohol
    Your garter
Something old, new, borrowed & blue.

Some churches also ask that you donate a basket of canned goods for the poor – check with your church and see if this is required – this is a hit or miss thing, to be honest. It's generally brought up with the gifts during mass.

If it's a Catholic wedding, you also need a lazo (laze) and arras (coins).

Pre marriage counseling is mandatory in the catholic church, write your wedding liturgy (pick prayers and readings), a throw bouquet for the reception and a flowers for the mothers. That should do it along with the other things people have already listed. Best advise is to speak with the priest doing the ceremony as to what is allowed in the church and what is mandated by the church. It varies in the different divisions of the Catholic church whether Roman Catholic, Greek, etc

Make sure you have your church musician[s] lined up in advance.

Check with the church about any fees.

Not in the realm of buying, but make sure you have your lectors and eucharistic ministers (if needed) lined up.

Depending on what food/drink you are doing at the reception, check on things like liquor license. You might have to buy one of those and you need to take care of that in advance.

Don't forget to make a donation to the Church by giving a check directly to the Priest, (One or both Parents could do this for you). The amount is up to you and should be in line with the "wealth" of your family. Make the check's payable to the Priest and say it's to be used for his favorite charity.

    Good Morning everyone,

Aw I love those ideas for weddings day tips, really good! My best friend is getting married in July, so fingers crossed the weather stays nice! One of the things that has shocked me the most is the growing cost of her wedding! I guess “cutting corners” is not really the correct way to word this, but taking into consideration the current financial climate everyone needs all the help they can!
For my friends hen party she said she going to send out e-Cards as invites, think she is going to do a spa weekend, and possibly a theme park for a bit of extra fun! She told me that she had found a really cool greetings site that allows you to send e-Cards for free She said there were lots of cards to choose from and since they are free she is going to choose a different card for each person on her hen weekend list and make it a little bit more personal.
Hope this helps? I wish all of you lucky people who are getting married the very best of luck.
    Love and Hugs,
    Nicole.
